Bee Lively Pollen Patties. These patties are specificaly formulated to meet the dietary needs of your honeybee colony. Our pollen patties are loaded with Bee-Lively feeding stimulant. Our stimulant is made of lemongrass and spearmint essential oils and stimulates feeding. We’ve also added 15% natural pollen. These patties are very moist and are sandwiched between 2 sheets of wax paper. The wax paper has small holes punched in the paper to make it easier for the bees to have access to the substitute. Thes pollen patties are ready to go on your hive. Sold in singles and packs of (10).
Please Bee Aware: Bees like pollen substitute best in patty form, especially in colder conditions. however, the small hive beetles also loves patties, so we recommend feeding only dry pollen substitute in areas where small hive beetles are a concern. Any unused patties should be stored in your freezer.
Bee-Lively Complete Patties are a high protein pollen substitute. They supply the proteins, lipids, minerals, carbohydrates, and B complex vitamins honeybees need to produce larval food. Bee-Lively Patties are specially formulated to be a complete bee diet for producing brood.
Bee-Lively Patties can be used for building colonies in late winter or early spring to prepare for pollinating. Bee-Lively Patties can also be used to maintain and/or increase brood production prior to and after the honey flow.
Place one patty on each hive to be fed. No need to remove paper. On a single story hive, place in brood box on top of the frames under the inner cover. On a two story hive, place the Bee-Lively Complete Patty between brood boxes on the top bar of the bottom box. Bee-Lively Complete Patties are usually consumed in 7 to 10 Days. Replace patties until desired brood production is met or until pollen flow has reduced patty consumption.
